RESIN for beginners - step by step

This video shows the whole resin process. Follow along while I mix the Barnes Epoxy Glass resin part A and Part B together and then see how I apply it to 4 dotted coasters and 2 stone molds (from Happy Dotting Company). *Resin supplies in this video available below* Working time for this resin is around 30-40 minutes depending on temperature outside. (FYI - this brand of resin does not have a high heating point. Hot cups are not recommended on these coasters.) IMPORTANT - Everyone please be aware that resin is extremely toxic especially when heated. I highly recommend using the correct face mask with a high grade carbon filter and goggles. I also recommend wearing nitrile gloves NOT latex gloves. Keep in mind that resin releases toxic gases for its entire cure time so should be kept in a well ventilated area away from children. The mats you see are silicon. Resin doesn’t stick to silicon so it’s the perfect base to use. Once dry, the resin peels straight off. Perfect for stones!
