What Neighborhoods in *DOWNTOWN* Vancouver are REALLY like

Last week we discussed the various neighborhoods around the city of Vancouver, this week I'll be doing a deep dive into the neighborhoods found DOWNTOWN specifically. Downtown Vancouver has a diverse assortment of neighborhoods within, it's where I currently reside and I absolutely love it! There's a wide variety of restaurants, nightlife, and shopping all within walking distance, and downtown is the hub to all the major Skytrain and bus routes. Not all neighborhoods downtown are created equal, they each have a distinct vibe to them. The West End is home to Stanley Park and English Bay and pet-owners galore. Yaletown is definitely more bougie - you'll find a lot of high end restaurants and shops and people who look the part. Central Downtown is where you'll find the "Granville Strip" - it's where a lot of nightlife and shopping happens. Gastown is a really cute spot, super popular amongst tourists for its cobblestone streets and old-style feel.
