Wondering which beaches to visit in Vancouver? I've got you covered! I went around the city and visited 7 of the most popular beaches in Vancouver, and in this video I share with you some PROS, CONS, and general fun facts about each one (i.e., the parking situation, the water and sand quality, the crowdedness, etc.). If you're a beach lover like myself and are planning to explore Vancouver's many beaches during hot girl summer, you must check out this quick guide! Beaches discussed in this video: 0:00 - What are Vancouver summers like? 1:24 - Wreck Beach (Vancouver's NUDE beach!) 3:52 - Jericho Beach & Spanish Banks - my fave! 4:31 - Kitsilano Beach 5:33 - Sunset Beach 6:04 - English Bay 6:55 - 2nd & 3rd Beach Here's some of my messy notes about each beach too, enjoy: Wreck Beach cool facts: - nude beach, but not mandatory - the water is pretty nice for swimming (and swimming in the nude) - busy but still can easily find a space to sit - vendors selling tapestries, art, etc. - isolated away from the city, need to go down a long set of stairs to get to it which makes it feel like a more private beach experience cons: - not accessible - need to walk down and up a pretty intense set of a stairs, if you have health conditions, or are in a wheelchair or something, you just cannot come here. - its kind of far out from the city, all the way at ubc - not a lot of parking there and the ones that exist are paid. best option is to take public transit or uber there - if public nudity isnt your thing, this obviously is not the beach for you Jericho & Spanish Banks - also by ubc / west point grey area - nice spacious beach, the biggest beach, great for throwing large group gatherings - probably one of my favourites on this list - lots and lots of free parking available (with that said, it still gets filled up quick on weekend) - also has a lot of space to ride your bike, or walk along the water - overall a great beach to spend your day at Kitsilano Beach - i think its a pretty clean beach compared to some of the ones downtown - has basketball courts, concession stands, etc. - in the neighbourhood of kitsilano which has many nice restaurants nearby if you get hungry - kitsilano pool is here which is rad cons - its one of the busiest beaches - can get extremely filled up to the point where you feel like you just don't have enough space - I'm someone who likes to find quieter parts of the beach, especially if I'm solo, just to read a book in peace - this isn't the best beach for that - not a lot of parking available at all, easiest to commute there by transit Sunset Beach - also one of my favourite beaches because it isn't as busy - hosts events all the time - last time I walked by, there were some salsa dancers on the street - lots of grassy areas that are nice for lounging - i just get peaceful vibes at this beach, definitely the go-to if you live downtown English Bay - the main beach downtown and gets incredibly busy, especially on weekends - and is the place to be for many of the annual events that go on downtown - Great place to view the Honda festival of lights - an annual fireworks show/competition - theres a lot of delicious food nearby as you're downtown, so its a great place to relax on a summer night after shopping and eating cons - parking is almost impossible here as well, and expensive, so just try to commute by transit or uber as well. luckily downtown vancouver is an easy place to get to by public transit. its more central than the other beaches mentioned previously 2nd Beach + 3rd Beach - 2nd beach is kind of an extension of english bay but it's its own separate thing. there's less beach space technically but this is where the 2nd beach outdoor pool is located - its an awesome pool which has views of the ocean nearby - super popular pool, just like kits beach. - theres also concession nearby - these beaches are right by Stanley park, so its nice to go on beach adventures and you can also then ride a bike along the seawall or hike thru the park - 3rd beach is deep along the seawall - its quite a long walk to get to it - once again parking right by here is pretty much impossible so be prepared to walk a little bit ---- ❤ social: Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/c/sugarydelight?sub_confirmation=1 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jessdeligh Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@jessdelight Email: contact.jessdelight@gmail.com ---- keywords: vancouver beaches, english bay, kitsilano beach, where to swim in vancouver, vancouver public pool, 2nd beach pool, kits pool, the ultimate vancouver beach guide, vancouver travel guide --- about me: name: Jess age: 25 country: Canada, eh! ---- current sub count: 3412
