We stayed at a cabin (well, an Airbnb) in Squamish, British Columbia (near Whistler!) for the weekend. We visited various trails and scenic routes including Shannon Falls, Brandywine falls, and Train Wreck - which is an awesome easy hike that includes a suspension bridge and leads you to a bunch of destroyed boxcars from a train wreck that happened in 1956. Now they are covered in beautiful graffiti art done by local artists. On the way there, we stopped by a few local shops, including a thrift/consignment store "Random & Company". We also ate at a local pub which was delish. Although the city of Squamish is only about an hour away from the city by car, it's much quieter and more serene. The cabin we stayed at had an abundance of walking trails right behind it, and in general, there's so many different hikes you can go on! We chose some of the easier ones, shown in this video. Or if you're looking for something more intense, give Tunnel Bluffs, or the infamous Stawamus Chief a try. The city of Squamish is beautiful and I can't wait to visit again! I hope we don't run into any more local bears next time... 😉 timestamps: 0:00 - intro + what I'm packing 1:26 - the road to Squamish 1:47 - first stop: Shannon Falls 2:01 - second stop: thrift shop 2:42 - cabin tour! 3:43 - drinking beers + crazy canadian snacks 4:22 - hiking the trail behind our cabin + views of the city + a relaxing evening 5:18 - cozy mornings in nature 6:13 - Sea to Sky trail + Brandywine Falls 7:10 - A RARE BEAR SPOTTING!!!? 7:17 - en route to Train Wreck 7:58 - Train Wreck - the remains of a train that crashed in 1956 8:47 - dinner at a local pub + heading home ---- ❤ social: Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/c/sugarydelight?sub_confirmation=1 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jessdeligh Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@jessdelight Email: contact.jessdelight@gmail.com ---- music credit: YouTube Audio Library + BGM President Track: You One Bite, Me One Bite - https://youtu.be/dH26ZYGypJM --- about me: name: Jess age: 25 country: Canada, eh! ---- current sub count: 3290
