About This Video

Hey y’all—on this one I’m back on the Maschine MK3 and I’m making a HOT FIRE amapiano beat from scratch. I told y’all I wasn’t gonna talk too much, so I really just jumped right into it: started with a simple idea, played around until it felt like we were getting somewhere, then kept building the groove piece by piece. The whole vibe was about experimenting in real time and letting the rhythm guide the choices instead of overthinking it. Once the foundation was there, I focused on what I always preach: the drums can be hitting, but they gotta be HITTING. So I beefed up the drums to get that bounce right, then laid in some very simple chords—nothing crazy, just enough harmony to make the groove feel musical and full. After that I arranged the beat (yes… it was 1:00 in the morning when I finished) and we listened to the final product. This session was mad fun, and trust and believe you’re gonna see a lot more of this on my channel—more cultures, more styles, more live building. If you’ve got suggestions for what I should flip next, drop them in the comments.
