In this video I’m back at Sandy Vans touring a build that’s honestly ridiculous in the best way: the Mini Mothership. It’s Shaden’s original Mothership vision—tech-heavy, futuristic, “Tron/cyber” vibes—stuffed into a shorter 144 platform. I’m walking through it with Mike, Sandy’s custom lead, and we get into what changed, why it works, and how they managed to hide basically everything so the van stays sleek. You’ve got the blacked-out exterior, aggressive lighting, upgraded suspension, onboard air, and even a propane setup dedicated to one very specific luxury item. Inside is where it gets wild. They fit a 32-inch TV that drops down between the front headrests (so it’s not in your peripheral while driving), plus a second screen in the galley area so you can literally “choose your view” while you work. This thing is built for a digital/tech nomad: app-controlled power via a Redarc Manager 75, a big battery system, alternator charging, remote start logic, hidden vents, and serious cooling even in a black van in full sun. And then there’s the Cinderella incinerating toilet—propane-powered, burns down to ash—paired with that smooth, high-end Sandy style using walnut and Fenix finishes.
