Come with me while I get ready for the first day back at school after Christmas/Winter break and New Year’s. I already did my skincare, then I moved on to makeup… even though I low key took a hot minute doing my hair, so now I’m on a TIME. We “leave on my time” (7:15 at the most), and it was already like 7:04, so you already know I’m doing that rushed GRWM math in my head while trying to keep it cute. I’m also dealing with the back-to-school nerves but not really—like I’m not nervous, I’m just like… we have new classes today, so girl what am I gonna do? I threw in my super cute earrings (with the most heavy-duty back ever), ironed my jeans last minute (of course), and tried to get my makeup together even though I literally forgot I got new makeup and didn’t have time to be experimenting. I did mascara, used a stick blush and then went in with my powder blush because you couldn’t really see it, and I’m still getting used to my setting spray. The takeaway: don’t be like me and wait until the morning, but also… you’ll be fine. Wish me luck—I’m out the door.
