Claude Code and the desktop app just keeps getting better and better, and this update is honestly one of the biggest jumps I’ve seen. In this video I break down how Claude is starting to feel less like a chatbot and more like a full AI operating system: you can now delegate full tasks and get back polished deliverables, plus there’s a new “computer use” capability where Claude can point, click, scroll, open files, browse the web, and interact with dev tools with basically no setup. The big unlock is that Claude will try your most precise integrations first (Slack, Google Calendar, etc.), and if it can’t, it can literally take over the mouse/keyboard flow—with permission and safety safeguards to reduce things like prompt injection risk. I also cover Dispatch, which is basically remote control for Claude. You can assign tasks from your phone or desktop, and Claude executes them when it has access—especially powerful when you combine it with a structured skills.md so it learns repeatable ways to use apps on your system. Then we get into /schedule, which is a gamechanger for automation: recurring cloud jobs straight from your terminal, so tasks keep running even after you close your laptop. Add in longer /loop runs (up to 7 days), per-task “effort” controls, DOM element selection for faster UI debugging (including React context), faster desktop performance, improved init onboarding, and Projects with memory across tasks—this week was stacked.
