Just don't do that thing where you double the amount of garlic that the recipe calls for... pesto can get painfully garlicky very easily due to the fact that you're likely to eat it raw. One last bonus tip for you: I like to cut back on the amount of oil in the sauce, put it into a container, then pour a think layer of oil on top of the pesto.
