In Surrey UK, 1958-59, she was a nurse at an Institution for the handicapped. The two royal sisters Katherine and Nerissa who were portrayed in the film ‘The Crown’ were patients there. In 1969 Jessica became the owner operator of two cosmetic shops in Ontario. After having a life-threatening brain injury, some years later, Jessica campaigned for Brain Injury Awareness. She has appeared on several radio and TV chat shows, and given talks at many head injury conferences in Canada. Also featured in the ‘Hidden Heroes’ TV show in Canada and the ‘Nationwide’ TV show in Kerry, Ireland. Jessica has also been honored by several celebrities as well as Mary Robinson, a former President of Ireland, and Sarah Ferguson for her book and campaign ‘Brain Injury Awareness.
