About This Video

In this Bible study, I’m walking you through 2 Kings 23 and 24, and it’s one of those passages that will set you free if you’ve been carrying guilt that was never yours. We look at King Josiah—one of the most faithful leaders Israel ever had—who did what was right, tore down idols, restored worship, and led with real obedience. And yet… the nation still had a hardened heart, and consequences still came. That tension matters, because a lot of us are out here thinking, “If I just say it better, love them harder, pray more, lead more… then they’ll finally change.” What I want you to hear is this: my obedience is my assignment, and someone else’s repentance is not. In this livestream, I talk about what faithful leadership looks like when the outcome doesn’t match what you prayed for, and why trying to be someone else’s Holy Spirit will exhaust you. I also guide you through reflection points to identify where you’ve been taking ownership of someone else’s spiritual journey, then we pray for release from misplaced responsibility. And because sometimes you need space to actually process with God, I included an hour of quiet co-working/silent time to lay down what was never yours to carry.
