Mountain Biking Bug Springs & Prison Camp | Mt. Lemmon | Tucson, Arizona

What an adventure this ride was with my friends Ken (@AZDirtLife) and Mike! Bug Springs was full of snow & ice for the first couple miles, making the trail extra treacherous! While it may seem unusual to see snow in southern Arizona, Mt. Lemmon does top out at over 9,000 feet, so it's actually pretty typical for January! Nonetheless, it does some weird to be riding through snow in Arizona, especially when the air temperature is in the 50's and 60's! Once we got to the south facing slope, the snow had cleared, and the fun descent began! Bug Springs is a great trail, and definitely worth a look if you've never been! We continued onto Prison Camp after that to complete the ride. What a day!
