For Lydia’s silent reading time, we’re giving the Percy Jackson series a try, starting with The Lightning Thief. If she really likes it, I’ll have her read the other four books, but I’m keeping it flexible. If she’s not feeling a book, I don’t want to force it when it’s meant to be her fun reading.
