stay stay here beside me this isn't how it's supposed to be wish you [Music] stay everyone's favorite room in the home is often the kitchen where meals are made conversations flow and memories come alive there's so much to discuss about the kitchen from the layout and Design Elements to the pantry and how to organize your kitchen in this video I thought I would cover it all I'll give you a full tour of my kitchen and share how I have made this space both functional and cozy let's get [Music] started it's been almost 3 years since we moved into our new home and designing this kitchen was the part we enjoyed the most we've always wanted an all-white kitchen it feels bright fresh and Timeless the layout of our kitchen is L-shaped with the pantry between the two counters and the island in the center our kitchen opens up to the dining area and living room in this open plan home which makes the space feel bigger more connected and inviting let's start with the kitchen island since we chose white for all the cabinets I wanted to introduce some contrast so I opted for a wood tone Island this helps warm up the space and also balances the coolness from the wide cabinets the pendant lights above are also in the same wood tone they add more warmth and texture to the room as for the countertops I went with quarts it's practical durable and low maintenance I chose a soft gray color instead of the typical white or black the gray adds beautiful visual interest with its stonik concrete feel and it's just more practical for everyday use one of the things I love is that it holds up really well against St even the turmeric ones I I have never had any issues with stains all these years these counter stools are from the threshold brand at Target I love the Wicker element they have and they are also very comfortable to sit on we spend a lot of our mornings and evenings gathered around the island and my daughter even uses them during her homework time since we use them so often I wanted something that was both comfortable and sturdy and they have defin Ely passed both the [Music] chicks this is the other side of my Island where I have the trash can dishwasher and sink one of my favorite upgrades here is this touchless faucet this was a nice addition since we purchased this home postco days when having hands-free features became more important for Hygiene it automatically turns off after 2 minutes if the water is still running and it also extends which makes cleaning the sink so much easier this pullout drawer holds the wash scrubbers and keeps everything organized and easily accessible the soap dispenser came as an accessory with the faucet and is connected under the sink it holds the liquid soap and gives my kitchen a cleaner and more streamline look wish you stay feeling we say goodbye to you [Music] soon let me quickly take you through my cabinets when it comes to Kitchen organization I focus on four main principles ease of accessibility maintaining visibility creating functional zones and choosing practical organizing Solutions I have placed all the cutlery and cooking utensils close to the cooktop for quick [Music] access to make things more convenient we installed pullout drawers in all the lower cabinets these make it so much easier for me to find the things quickly and [Music] effortlessly all the doors and drawers of our cabinets have soft closed mechanisms so there are no loud noises every time I open or close a door the pots and other utensils I use most often are stored right below the [Music] cooktop this makes my kitchen function much smoother during busy times of the day as I always know where everything is saving me a lot of time [Music] grouping like items together is another thing I diligently follow in my kitchen to keep everything organized and easy to manage I got a few new storage containers from Ikea last week for my refrigerator I'll keep them all in one place for easy access [Music] if you ask me what my favorite organizers are I would definitely say drawer dividers shelf risers and lazy Susans I have used them throughout my kitchen in different areas and they work absolutely amazing [Music] my friend recently gifted me this cute new tea and sugar glass canisters so I'm swapping out my old ones they'll go in the upper cabinet in the corner on a lazy Susan so they are easy to grab when I need them [Music] [Music] oh [Music] let's go into my pantry it's definitely not the biggest Pantry in the world but it's also not too small we didn't have a Pantry in our previous home so this one feels like a real blessing it's just the right size for our family needs I store all our extra stock here and I try to use clear containers wherever I can so restocking becomes super easy I've actually made a detailed video on Pantry organization so feel free to check it out I'll link it in the the description [Music] [Music] box this drawer below the oven is my baking drawer so I keep all the measuring cups muffin trays Grill pad and other baking Essentials in one place and this is my breakfast bar which is super convenient on busy mornings I have CAU all the Indian breakfast Staples in one spot I've also kept all the nuts peanut butter various syrups cereals stored in these small organizers above [Music] this is my snack cabinet where I keep everything for those tea time Cravings I try to decant most of the dried snacks and only buy new ones when I see these containers are running [Music] low the bottom cabinet is kind of my lunch cabinet I keep all the lunch boxes extra water bottles and lunch bags in here in this drawer I keep my tin foil plastic wrap and Ziploc bags the next drawer holds all the kitchen washcloths dish cloths and napkins another spot that helps keep things [Music] organized I have a few miscellaneous junk drawers where I keep random things that don't really have a home my daughter usually does her school work at the kitchen island so having a pencil box and some stationary on hand is is really helpful this drawer right here is my special miscellaneous one where I keep tiny things like paper clips scissors a few of my supplements and other little odds and [Music] ends I also prefer to keep the less frequent ly used appliances inside the cabinets to avoid the visual clutter on the [Music] countertops follow me [Music] out down to the Bay forget all
