If you decide you actually want Fender Studio Pro 8, this is the upgrade link I point people to. For me, the main reasons to consider it are the new reverb and the Mustang Native plugin—not the renamed menus or the Ableton-style layout changes.
Pros
- +Gets you into Studio Pro 8 quickly if you’re ready to move up
- +Includes the newer stock plugins I found most compelling
Cons
- -Workflow/UI changes may feel like a hassle if you’re used to older versions
- -Not a must-have upgrade for casual home recorders
