Perpetual
The perpetual license is the “one-time purchase” route—great if you’re more traditional like me and you mainly need a solid DAW for guitars, drums, and vocals. Just understand the tradeoff: over time, OS updates can outpace your version, so I recommend downloading everything you need and keeping your system stable.
“Now, to all of the perpetual license owners of Studio One or Fender Studio Pro, when you get a perpetual license, there's one thing that you need to know above all else”
“So, the perpetual license, we'll talk a lot about perpetual in this video, but case in point is a perpetual license is a one-time purchase that you will then have access to your very own license of Fender Studio Pro”
“Now, usually with the perpetual license, there is a grace period”
“But, if you're into more traditional music like I am, like rock and roll and pop music and guitars and drums and vocals and things like that, well, you probably want to look at a perpetual license, but again, I would steer clear of the full price perpetual license”
“99 for a perpetual license of Fender Studio Pro, the crossgrade, at the time of recording this video, is right at about $149”
