A wired handheld mic with a physical mute switch is one of my favorite live-sound cheat codes. If you hand it to someone who’s never used a mic, they instantly understand on/off—no press-and-hold confusion like many wireless units. And I love that I’m not dependent on batteries when I’m just making announcements.
