The Nakamichi Dragon has set a high bar for immersive home theater sound. Now, I'm reviewing the Nakamichi Shockwafe Wireless 11.2.6 Soundbar System, often seen as the Dragon's "baby brother." This 11.2.6 soundbar system boasts Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support, multiple HDMI inputs (including 2.1 with eARC), and dual 10" subwoofers. I compare the Shockwafe's performance in my real-world living room setup to my previous experiences with the Nakamichi Dragon (including configurations with dual 08" and dual 12" subs). Discover if the Shockwafe delivers the same level of impressive audio and object placement. Please be aware that the calibration app was not available during this review, which may have impacted the final sound. DRAGON system stays as 11.4.6 even with dual 12" subs added on. You might notice that after adding the 12" sub(s), you cannot control turn on/off individual 8" subwoofer drivers on the cabinet. That's because the 8" subs are processed as 1 channel per cabinet after the addition of the 12" subs. As such, the DRAGON system is still an 11.4.6ch system, with utilizing a different mapping when more than 2 subwoofer cabinets are being utilized.** Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpqmF_XXFlS81GVHG2uAT9w/join Follow me on Patreon (just $5/month!): https://www.patreon.com/HATORAIDCOWBOY Affiliate links mean I earn a commission from qualifying purchases.
