This is such an exciting episode. I get experiMENTAL and ride a vintage Ibis Ripley Soft Tail on some mellower trails in Sedona. Ibis made the Ripley soft tail (cousin of the silk ti) in 2001 as a bridge between the hardtail world and the full suspension world. Despite being aluminum, the chainstay was designed to flex enough to provide 31mm of "travel."
