I start with furniture because those are the “big savings” moments—like the Pottery Barn Somerville-style entry cabinet look. Pottery Barn’s version looks like beautiful wood, but it’s actually MDF with an oak veneer, so I found a real-wood alternative on Amazon that’s much less expensive. I also compare a Pottery Barn buffet with that window-pane look to a very similar Target sideboard (also MDF, but with solid pine legs), because sometimes you can get the same vibe for a fraction of the price. Then I move into seating dupes (including a chaise lounge option and counter stool lookalikes), and I talk through what my “eagle eye” notices when something feels more curated than original. After that, I bring you into my home to decorate for Christmas—coffee table books, a holiday candle that smells like fresh cut pine and mulling spices, and a quick lighting lesson. Swapping an LED for a vintage-style bulb is one of the fastest ways to make a room feel warmer and more inviting. I finish with a few giftable decor dupes (horse sculpture, baskets, marble/quartz catchalls) and a simple minimalist stair idea using paper stars and yarn.
