About This Video

Welcome back to Happiest Place is Home—I’m Suzanne, an interior designer, and in this video I’m sharing a whole lineup of design-forward finds I’ve collected over the last couple of weeks while I’m getting my house back together after the holidays (truly… the messiest it’s maybe ever been). These are the kinds of pieces that instantly beautify a space, and several of them are true “get the look for less” dupes—especially for Pottery Barn and Serena & Lily. I start with a great dupe for the McGee & Co. ruffle tablecloth (multiple sizes, including a long version that’s very in style right now). Then I share a Serena & Lily–inspired flush mount that’s an easy, not-too-pricey way to update a ceiling light you don’t love. From there, I get into a French-glazed Pottery Barn lookalike vase, an unbelievable Safavieh faux mother-of-pearl mosaic side table, hidden-base swivel chairs with that understated Serena & Lily vibe, and some shockingly well-priced pillow covers (including a McKenzie Childs-ish check and a Burberry-inspired plaid). And my design advice is simple: if you feel like you need to ask someone’s opinion because you’re unsure, you already have your answer—don’t do it. Your instincts are telling you it doesn’t fit, and that one rule will save you a lot of money and regret.
