“[Music] everyone is a creative or at least everyone should be what you create doesn't have to be the greatest it just needs to be good for you for your soul the best creation sessions are enabled by an environment that is primed for ideas Concepts and stories to flow freely into your mind the best creation sessions are enabled by workspaces but a workspace needs a base a foundation for ideas to really take hold a desk and that's where our story here today [Music] begins light it up light it up pedal to the metal we're going to take it to a whole another level tonight all right a whole another level [Music] now some of you might be asking Han I thought you already had a setup and you're right my dark quad monitor setup is not going anywhere anytime soon but today's setup isn't for me it's for a creative who is responsible for creating some of the best moments in my life this is Shantal she likes things that are cozy and cute shantal's primary use for the setup is for work and music and the flexi spot E6 couldn't have been a better choice as the foundation so let's talk about it the flexi spot E6 is a standing disc that comes with four programmable height settings in case it goes too high and hits something the smart Collision prevention kicks in to stop the desk the white desktop is smooth and durable but what you're probably curious about is the legs more specifically its sturdiness standing desks are quite notorious for having a lot of wobble especially when configured for standing but the E6 was surprisingly stable having minimal wobble despite all the items on top of it which makes sense since it was built to have a weight capacity of 352 lb underneath the desk is plenty of room which made Cable Management a breeze I drilled one cable tray to hide cables keeping the space uncluttered and organized considering the overall price of stand desks the flexi spot actually stands as one of the more affordable configurations with solid brand recognition whilst checking off all the requirements of a standing desk if you're interested in this desk be sure to check the links in the description powering the setup is a 2023 MacBook Air in the rose gold finish a light and Sleek companion the MacBook Air sits on a laptop stand creating a dual monitor setup with the scepter 27in curved monitor a layout ideal for productivity to match the rest of the setup I skinned the monitor's bezels with a white masking tape unlike myself shantall doesn't game or do intensive video editing so the monitor was a great budget pick that fits all of her needs finalizing the productivity Suite is the mouse and keyboard for a mouse Shantel has the clean and simple Logitech m170 but what's probably more interesting is the keyboard the keyboard is the techware Phantom Elite plus a hot swappable mechanical keyboard that comes with a magnetic shell and foam mods to customize the keyboard Shantal replaced the board with the limited edition osme year of the rabbit keycaps this keyboard is actually quite affordable when it comes to customizable mechanical keyboards sitting at just $87 the question that's now on your mind is probably at this price how does it sound I personally think this is a great quality for money entry keyboard and recommend it for anyone just starting out in this space finally resting Underneath It All is a leather deskmat from Amazon giving the space an extra layer and keeping the tabletop scratch free [Music] I to capture her beautiful voice in its entirety shanal has her audio gear it's not an incredibly complex or Advanced setup but it excels at its job the microphone that both shantol and I have is the fifine K 688 mounting the mic to the desk is the fifine lowprofile arm in all white the arm serves as both an adjustable arm as well as a cable management system transmitting her voice to software is the Mayo audio interface and finally to monitor her voice or just to listen to music is her Beats Studio Pro which she has owned for a very long time [Music] to create a clean cozy and ambient feel there's a plethora of lighting and accessories to complement the space towards the left is a mushroom lamp from Ikea it acts as a soft light highlighting the MacBook over to the right is a cheap and cozy mini shelf for all the stuffed animals and some personal artwork the ambient lighting is achieved using the floor lamp Cloud light and goie Light strips behind the monitor to create that nice and soft glow adding depth to the space is the Ikea vatten car desk shelf a cozy accessory that also helps store an iPad and hide some cables and of course what's a cozy setup without plants scattered across multiple shelves and racks are greeneries the inviting feel of plants is forever unmatched most of the items in this setup are relatively affordable proving that cozy and comfort doesn't need to be expensive through planning and design it's possible to achieve the feel of your dream setup even at a low price
