My Melody Amigurumi Crochet Tutorial Part 2 Head - 1 of 2

Learn to crochet My Melody Amigurumi. This is part 1 of 2 of crocheting her head. A viewer requested My Melody, so I thought I would crochet her. Although she has a pink hood now, she was inspired by Little Red Riding Hood and originally had a red hood and carried a basket. When I think of My Melody I think of her ears, so I decided to start with her ears for part 1, then I started to make the hood. But, I realized the head is needed in order to make the hood for her ears. So, part one of the head tutorials (broken into 2 parts) contains footage from the hood. The hood is basically the same as the head except it has less rows, with some of the rows being changed (more repeats of rows). The footage for rows 1-17 are taken when I made the hood and I added those in black in white instead of redoing those rows for the head. When finished, she will sit approximately 18.5" (47 cm) tall to the top of her longest ear. The yarn used is recommended to for a 4.5mm hook.
