The first thing that hasn’t changed is the stealth factor—clean, sleek frame, zero visible wires, and it still tricks people into thinking it’s an analog bike. My frozen blue unit has held up great, the 6061 aluminum frame feels solid, and I haven’t dealt with the rattles and creaks that show up on a lot of budget bikes after a year of city miles. The smart features are still the heart of the experience. The fingerprint scanner is still the coolest way to start a bike, GPS tracking stays accurate, and the anti-theft alerts actually bring peace of mind when I’m locked up grabbing coffee. Velotric’s firmware updates have helped, and for 2026 Apple Find My support is a huge bonus. On the ride side, the 350W Power E35 Plus remains whisper quiet, the torque sensor feels natural (super legs, not a machine push), and I’m still seeing around 25 mph in turbo on paved roads. Battery range has dipped naturally over time—from high-60s in early testing to about 55–60 miles now—but it’s still enough for a week of commuting. My main gripes are unchanged: no suspension means you feel every pothole, and I still wish it had a built-in tail light. Overall, as a lightweight, stealthy, smart city commuter, it’s still one of the most refined options out there.
