Andy Burnham has said he will attempt to return to Parliament as an MP. The Greater Manchester Mayor will ask to run for Labour in Makerfield after Josh Simons said he would give up his seat to make way for him. It comes after Wes Streeting resigned as health secretary, saying he'd lost confidence in the Prime Minister's leadership. Although he stopped short of triggering a leadership challenge.
