A Retro PC You Can Build - The DevTerm by ClockworkPi

The DevTerm is a new portable computing kit that you can build yourself. Based on the original Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 100 portable computer, the 2022 version is significantly smaller than its predecessor. Created by ClockWorkPi, a company dedicated to cool open-source hardware, the DevTerm is finally shipping, and it's built for fun. For anyone who remembers the original TRS-80 Model 100, which was available at Radio Shack back in the day, it was definitely not portable by today's standards. ClockWorkPi has fashioned the DevTerm to be more handheld over the full-sized nature of the original and it's significantly lighter too. The screen is now a 6.86" full colour IPS screen and they've retained the wide aspect ratio. It's powered by an ARM64-bit Dual-core Cortex-A72 + Quad-core Cortex-A53, Mali-T864. There's 4GB LPDDR4 in this A06 model. ClockWorkPi provided other configurations too. One of the most fantastic things that the DevTerm comes with is a 200 dpi thermal printer. It clips to the back and allows you to use a range of thermal rolls that are 58mm in width. It is fully battery-powered with a couple of 18650 batteries.
