Make DELICIOUS Blackberry Jelly at Home Today!

Thank you for watching!! #canning #blackberries #jelly #gardening #backyardgardening #zone8a #growyourownfood #blackgardeners #youtuber #gardeningwithlisa Blackberry jelly 4 cups blackberries 4 cups of water One pack 1.75 oz sure gel 4.5 cups of sugar 1 teaspoon butter Make sure to use sterilized jars and lids. Place berries and water in a pot on stovetop and bring to a boil. Then simmer for 20 minutes. While it’s cooking. use a potato masher to break up the berries. While berries are simmering, put cheese cloth over a strainer. After the berries a finished simmering, pour berries in cheesecloth to let juice drain into a bowl. Note: The rest of the process should move fairly quickly to avoid juice from setting up too soon.) Pour the juice back in a pot on the stove. Add pectin, then butter to cut down on foam. Bring to a boil. Stir the whole time to dissolve and avoid sticking. Add sugar and bring to boil. Stir and let it boil for 1 minute. Pour juice in 8 oz jars. Wipe rim of jars clean with vinegar on a paper towel. Put on lids and screw rings on finger right. Put jars in canning pot and bring to a boil. Set water bath timer for 10 minutes after water comes to a boil. Take jars out of canner and place one a mat. Let them sit until they cool and all jars are sealed.
