Lost Hope: A Star Wars Fan Film Trailer | May the 4th Be with You from Full Sail University

Celebrate May the 4th with Lost Hope, a Star Wars fan film trailer created by students at Full Sail University. This project brings together artists from Computer Animation, Game Art, and 3D Arts, working in collaboration with the Studio V1 team and faculty mentors to build a cinematic world from the ground up. From character creation, motion capture animation, and integration with Metahumans, to environments, lighting, VFX, rendering, and final visuals, every frame reflects a cross-disciplinary effort driven by creativity and technical skill. Post-production was further elevated through contributions from Film, Music Production and Recording Arts, bringing the final piece to life through sound design, scoring, and audio finishing. Inspired by the legacy of Star Wars, Lost Hope showcases how Full Sail students gain real-world experience by working together in a virtual production environment to tell compelling, visually-driven stories.
