In this video, I’m checking out the ByoWave Proteus Controller, and it’s not your typical “here are the specs” kind of review. I put both versions—the Proteus Controller Kit and the Proteus Builder Kit—through real use to see what modular customization actually looks like in practice. The whole point here is that this controller can change shape, layout, and feel depending on who’s holding it, instead of forcing every gamer to adapt to one fixed design. I focused on how far the customization has come: swapping modules, rearranging the layout entirely, and seeing how quickly you can go from one setup to another. What matters most is the idea behind it—accessibility and comfort aren’t side features, they’re the main feature. My big takeaway is that this isn’t about finding “the best controller for me,” it’s about proving a controller can be built around the player, which is a bigger deal than most people realize until they actually see it in action.
