Intel released their Coffee Lake CPUs on the 5th of October, with the 6-core 12-thread i7-8700K leading the pack. We finally moved on from the max 4-core 8-thread philosophy Intel has been following for almost 10 years, mostly thanks to AMD's competitive Ryzen CPUs. I put together a build based on the i7-8700K that will game, stream, edit and render at crazy speeds. The new Intel Coffee Lake flagship is the fastest gaming CPU on the market, and there's no denying that. However, if you're more on a budget and want to just enjoy video games at 1440p sub-100 FPS, then a Ryzen 5 1600 with a B350 combo will save you over $200 for relatively the same experience!
