Navigating Policy Shifts: Supporting Transgender Veterans Through Advocacy and Legal Services

This webinar offers civil legal aid and public interest attorneys an overview of the current state of transgender bans and their impact on veterans. Experts will discuss practical ways Florida advocates can support transgender veterans, including helping them navigate the name change process. Attendees will walk away with a comprehensive understanding of how to navigate Florida’s court-ordered name change process. The session will conclude with a brief introduction to assisting veterans with name changes on military documents (DD-214). Participants will leave equipped with knowledge and tools to better advocate for the rights and dignity of transgender veterans.
