Hello people, my name is Ferdy, and in this video I show you how to upgrade an existing Elementor website from version 3 to Elementor version 4 (the Atomic Editor) step by step. I do everything from inside the WordPress dashboard, so you can follow along safely on a site you already built with containers and regular v3 elements. First, I go to Elementor → Tools → Version Control and I enable beta updates, because that’s the way to get access to the v4 update right now. Then I go to Dashboard → Updates, click “Check again” if needed, and update the Elementor plugin. After that, I go to Elementor → Editor → Settings and activate the new v4 experience. From that moment, your existing pages made in v3 still work as they are, but you also get access to the new Atomic elements when you click the plus icon. I show you how to recognize v4 elements by the icon on the right, and I explain the big takeaway: you can use Elementor v3 and v4 widgets together at the same time. Not all widgets are available in v4 yet, but Elementor is adding them step by step—so you can already start using v4 today while keeping the transition safe.
