Arches Hot Pressed is one of those papers I reach for when I want crisp details and smoother washes without fighting the texture. It’s especially nice when I’m doing more controlled watercolor or gouache-like rendering and I want edges to stay clean. It’s a bit precious, but it really does make the painting feel more “intentional.”
