These include: 1. A padlock can be used with Type 1 connectors and passed through the hole in the cable’s trigger which will stop it from being depressed and removed from the car. If you have a towing loop you can use this to secure your charging cable using a padlock like shown. If out and about you can secure it in a similar way to any nearby bollards in the parking bay. If you don’t have any objects to secure the charging cable to you can always pass it around your alloys of the nearest wheel and again secure with a padlock. 4. If charging at home and you have access to an internal socket or charging point in a garage you could opt to run your charging cable under the locked garage door to keep it secure. 5. If you have none of these options available to you and you need to secure your charging cable you can lay the unplugged cable on the ground and park a wheel over it.
