The Dickies 20-inch work bag is my go-to style when you need a big, deep center compartment for larger tools and power tools. It carried comfortably even when fully loaded, and the billowed pockets with webbing do a good job keeping items secure. My main complaint is the zipper can feel a little sticky when you try to open it one-handed.
