The Winix 5520 is my value pick for big-room odor and smoke issues, especially if you want strong performance without paying premium pricing. It cleared wildfire smoke odor from my 600 sq ft living room in under an hour, and the auto mode sensor did a great job ramping up for cooking and slowing down when the air cleared. PlasmaWave can be turned off if you’re worried about trace ozone, which is a nice option to have.
