Stokes Inlet (Benwenerup) was a really peaceful, secluded campground and I loved my little setup on site 8 — up high with a view of the water. The wildlife was incredible (including a heath monitor right at my van), and the inlet is beautiful for a calm paddle. Just be mindful: if it’s extreme heat and there’s no breeze, it can be a hard time without air con.

Pros
- +Secluded, choose-your-own-site feel with lots of privacy
- +Great wildlife and bird life around the inlet
- +Toilets and a small camp kitchen available
- +Beautiful water access for SUP/kayak
Cons
- -Can be brutally hot with no ocean breeze on the inlet
- -Mobile reception was limited (I relied on Starlink for work)
- -I didn’t spot a rubbish point or sullage facility
