About This Video

Good morning my cute friends, it’s Emma ♡ This vlog is a super emotional one because it’s my last day in Japan and I was genuinely so sad to leave. I start the day with the sweetest breakfast (my Japanese friend’s mom made it for us), and then we head to Kyoto—one of those places that feels calm, beautiful, and honestly kind of magical. I take you with me to Fushimi Inari Shrine (it’s over 1300 years old!), and walking through the endless red torii gates felt so surreal, like I was in a totally different world. After the shrine, we find a cute little street food market and do a quick snack break because everything smells and looks so good. Then we visit Kiyomizu-dera, one of the most famous temples in Japan, and I’m still not over how unreal the architecture is—this is exactly what I picture when I think of traditional Japan. To end the vlog, we slow down with the most chill, aesthetic plan: a picnic by Biwa Lake with supermarket food we grabbed the day before. It’s cozy, peaceful, and the perfect soft goodbye to Japan.
