For this painting I wanted to experiment with some unique acrylic techniques - the spoon painting method and the crumpled plastic bag texture. I crumpled and arranged the bags to create an abstract pattern of lines and shapes that would serve as the background texture for the composition. The focus of this painting would be flower. The spoon technique creates beautiful organic petal shapes and soft gradients as the paint blends on the canvas. The spoon painting technique created a gorgeous blossom that captures the spontaneity and spirit of acrylic pouring while also achieving a realistic floral form.
