Episode 59 - Girth Hitch

The next in a multi-episode series on Anchors. In this episode I cover the girth hitch anchor. This is becoming a popular anchor on social media and in Europe. While I have not seen it used in the U.S. yet, it is still good to know what it is and how to evaluate it. In this episode I demonstrate two ways to tie it as well as discuss a few of the pros and cons. Disclaimer: Climbing is an inherently dangerous activity.
