In this one I’m back on the Engwe Engine Pro 3.0 Boost, because in my last review I actually liked the bike… but it had a couple of issues that stopped it being anywhere near “best for the money” territory. The big one was the BOOST button. On paper it’s supposed to give you that extra shove when you need it, but in my original test it just didn’t feel like it was doing what it said on the tin, and that really holds a heavy folding fat bike back—especially if you ride hills like I do in the UK. So the whole point of this video is simple: I unlock the speed settings on the Engine Pro 3.0 Boost and then re-test it to see if that missing performance finally shows up. With the bike unlocked, I’m looking at whether the boost behaviour makes more sense, whether it pulls harder, and whether it finally rides like the “Boost” model should. The takeaway is basically: unlocking changes the character of the bike, but you still need to think about where and how you ride, because UK rules and real-world safety matter as much as raw speed.
