In this video I’m taking a proper look at the Engwe L20 3.0 Pro, and it’s the fifth L20 variation I’ve tested. I genuinely loved the very first L20, and while the others have mostly been solid, this one could be the best of the bunch for one big reason: it’s got that mid-drive punch, and it’s fully UK legal. I called it the “Land Rover Defender of e-bikes” because it feels built for getting on with the job—especially when the route turns nasty or the hills start getting cheeky. I go through what it’s like to ride, how that torque feels when you put power down, and why the step-through frame makes it a really easy bike to live with day-to-day. If you want something that’s accessible, practical, and still has that grin-inducing shove when you need it, this is exactly the kind of e-bike I get excited about.
