My MMA Debut as a Ringside Doctor

See One, Do One, Teach One Medicine has always been built on apprenticeship — learning directly from those who came before. Today, I put myself back in the apprentice seat. For the past year and a half, I’ve been ringside at countless boxing events. But this is different. This is my first time stepping into the world of amateur MMA — shadowing Dr. Geron Shepard, a world-class combat sports physician, at a CAMO MMA event in Temecula, California.
