About This Video

Three months in with the iPhone 15 Pro Max, I break down what actually matters in real day-to-day use—and what’s genuinely in it for you if you’re thinking about upgrading. I came from a 13 Pro with some real reservations (mainly size and weight), but the softer contoured edges, slimmer bezels, and brushed titanium frame made a bigger difference than I expected. It’s surprisingly comfortable and lightweight to hold, even though I’ll admit the older stainless steel iPhones still feel a bit more “premium” to me. I also get into the action button (cool idea, but limited because it only does one thing), and of course the move to USB-C. On the Pro models, USB-C 3 is actually versatile—I tested card readers, external SSDs, dongles, and even external displays, and it all worked. Battery life has been rock solid for my usage, but charging speeds are still disappointing for a phone at this price. Finally, I talk cameras from a photographer/videographer perspective: the 5x telephoto on the Pro Max is a real advantage, and features like Log video are great (even if niche). My bottom line: if you’re on a 13 Pro/14 Pro and you’re fine, wait—but if you’re on a 12 Pro or older, I’d 100% recommend the 15 Pro Max.
