“[Music] now long before moving into my new apartment I have actually been really obsessed with building my very own dream desk setup and if you've been a longtime follower of my channel you probably would have glimpsed the different iterations of my desk setups in the background of my videos over the years but since moving into my new home that my beautiful partner and I recently purchased I finally was able to get a dedicated space that I could actually turn into my dream Studio space slome office and this time it's going to be different now I've got a few ideas and plans that I actually want for this overall space that I will talk a little bit more about later on but for now the very first thing that I really want to do is to build my dream desk setup so for this dream desk setup the idea is to keep it as light and minimal as possible with quality materials and seeing that this isn't my first try at desk setup bills I think I've got a good idea of the things that I want and the things that I no longer need but still keeps my desk functional and fits my overall Vibe and appeal now to start off this setup build is going to be the main centerpiece and pretty much the focal point that this entire space will be built around and that's of course the desk itself so I've been on the hunt for a little while for a durable electronic sit stand desk and because as I said this is also going to be the main focal point for the entire Studio space I needed it to have that premium look and feel as well but without of course breaking the bank and when Desy decided to send me one of their electronic setand desk I figured this possibly could be the perfect match at the perfect time so this specific model is the Desy dual hardwood sit-stand desk in Walnut and this desk screams your overall well-being which is pretty evident with this sit-stand desk that I have here setup process was as simple as you'd expect and unlike some other desk on the market the Desy sit stand desk can actually be installed with a simple hex key which they have actually kindly provided the desktop that I have is 72x 30 in in size and comes with pre-drilled attachment hose so it was just a matter of aligning the crossbar the controller and control box to the respective areas and tighten properly now from the very first moment I finished setting up this desk I was fully impressed and I'm really happy that I actually went with the Walnut desktop and wide frame combo but of course deski has a wide variety of finishes colors desktop materials to pick from so you have the option of you know customizing the entire look that you're actually going for but Aesthetics aside there are a lot that I've thoroughly enjoyed and absolutely loved about this desk from the very silent dual motors the ability to lift up to a capacity of over 300 lb and of course my my my absolute favorite the anti-collision system this Desy dual sit stand Des just without a doubt performs and functions really well Desy also has some pretty useful accessories that you can get for the desk and my favorite accessory that I actually got and the one that I highly highly recommend which I think is best in class and it's the integrated cable management system now this particular cable management system from deski is pretty much a metal trade that has nine plug-in PowerPoints with USBC ports and front cutouts for easy access to these PowerPoints this helps to Route all my cables neatly out the way and is super easy and timesaving as well as you can see there are absolutely no cables dangling everything is pretty much out of sight so if you're like me and you don't want to spend a lot of time doing cable management but of course you still want your cables to be neatly managed then this cable management system is a really great addition and I again highly recommend you consider getting one now all in all this desk is just a solid premium desk that just really sets the tone for my entire setup and first to see that video when it goes live so for the time when I'm not standing at my desk which might most times don't judge my home office chair is the autonomous Ergo chair Pro now I've had this chair for about 2 years at this point and it's been good it has a good amount of adjustability so that I could find the most comfortable sitting position when I'm working at my desk the mesh fabric back is also quite handy as it allows for plenty of earflow especially during the more warmer Seasons that I kind of wish this seed cushion had the dense foam definitely gets warm especially if you're sitting for extended periods so I kind of wish this chair had a mesh suspension instead of the foam cushion the other issue that I kind of have with this chair is that it's mostly made of plastic except of course for the seat base and the stem but the other areas feels a little bit more on the cheaper side and there were areas where the chair had some Flex to it as well not the total deal breaker as adding more premium materials might make this a very heavy chair but just something that I had to point out with my experience with it so far but in general though it definitely has done me well for the years that I've had it but it might be just the time for getting myself an upgrade now moving on to the things that are actually on top of my desk and of course I have to start with the main centerpiece and it's of course the monitor now this is my tried and trusted 38 in Ultra wide monitor from Dell this is the Dell u38 18d W that I've had for about 4 years at this point now and it's been for me an amazing investment as I said it's a 38 in curved Ultra wide monitor with a resolution of 3840 x600 which makes it a 4K 2K 60 HZ panel and has been more than enough for my workflow it's a really good IPS monitor with decent picture quality and color accuracy with it being 99% srgb Factory calibrated so I had no issues with editing my photos in Photoshop or Lightroom and having that massive 38 in screen real estate makes it a really enjoyable experience for when I'm video editing or photo editing as well now I believe this specific model that I have is now discontinued and Del has an updated version that comes with a few decent upgrades so if you have the budget you can possibly consider going for that one but if you want to save some money then maybe trying to get this one on the used Market in really good condition would not be a bad way to go at all but yeah I love this monitor I think Dell makes some really really solid well-built monitors and 38 in for me of course is that sweet spot and it has most definitely delivered in its performance for me over the years and beneath my monitor is this beautiful grade Walnut desk shelf that I Ed to both hold and hide smaller pieces of tech on my desk as well as just adding A Touch of Class to my setup now I've had this desk shell for a few years now and it is holding up really well which simply goes to show the quality of Grove Ms products and that they truly stand the test of time now when it comes to the Audio Solutions on my desk I have gone with these premium looking but budget friendly power desktop speakers from edifier now these are the edifier MR3 desktop speakers and I absolutely love these speakers first of all these replaced my previous clip bookshelf speakers because they kind of take up less space on my desk while still offering a nicely balanced sound that makes them pretty ideal for me when I'm editing audio for my videos or for just casually playing music at my desk they are Bluetooth compatible as well and come with plenty of connectivity and control options both on the front and back of the speaker which makes them extremely versatile these mr3s more than exceeded my expectations especially because these are going for under $150 now I got them in white but it's kind of more like an off-white color and not Pure White so if you are looking at these kind of bear that in mind but it still nicely fits with the white and one vibe that I'm kind of going for here I still really do like my Clips r41 bookshelf speakers don't get me wrong and they are really great sounding speakers as well I just kind of wanted to keep the setup light and minimal and these edifier mr3s fit the build at least for now the stand that these speakers are on are the Kanto sp6 HD desktop speaker stands that are just really solid and wellb built never found the need to change these the cutouts on these stands allowed me to easily route the cables coming from my speakers and they also helped to raise my speakers to just the perfect height which is ideal for good listening experience but for those times when I want to really Zone in and block out any any environmental distractions I go for these edifier wh 950 NB noise cancelling headphones now let me just say this video is absolutely not sponsored by edifier but I really do like their products and I believe they make some really great value audio products and these noise cancelling headphones are no exception they have been pretty comfortable to wear for long periods battery life has been pretty solid as well I rarely ever have to charge charge these up but for the instances that I do need to then the fast charging feature comes in pretty handy noise cancellation even though not the greatest that I've experienced they still have been surprisingly good for noise cancelling headphones in this price range the Bluetooth connection has been pretty consistent and most important of all they sound really good they are not going to give you the most flat and balanced audio frequency for when you're editing voice and on those occasions I typically would reach for my audio technical headphones for those specific use cases either way these edifier noise cancelling headphones performed really well and have been a great addition for entertainment and productivity at my desk now to hold my edifier headphones when I'm not using it is this Walnut headphone stand from grov and as mentioned before anything from grovemade is going to be of high quality even though it's not cheap by any means but again I've had this for a few years now and it has definitely Justified its price and is more than worth it in my opinion and to kind of round out the Audio Solutions at my desk are my microphone and audio interface so firstly the audio interface that I'm using and have been using now for a few years is the Motu M2 it's a solid high quality two input four output USBC powered audio interface with midi that's perfect for audio Engineers podcasters live streaming or for home recording it's got good and clear preamps we're easily powering most microphones I personally love the fact that this has a really nice and colorful LCD display that's perfect for monitoring and gauging your recording levels now I use this interface to also connect my edifier speakers via its TRS outputs at the back and it's been working really well I can easily adjust the volume levels using the dedicated volume control on the interface itself and the/ Quin headphone Port is perfect for if and when I need to power more High impedance headphones the second thing that I occasionally will also connect to my audio interface is of course my microphone so my microphone of choice is the LT LCT 240 Pro condenser microphone and I absolutely love this microphone for a microphone that costs me just under 150 I think it performs really well and feels really well built as well the white colorway fits my over overall Vibe and Aesthetics again that I'm going for on my desk and I just love how well it integrates into my setup it's an incredibly simple mic to set up and use most times for my use case I typically will just use this mic setup for my virtual meetings on Zoom or Google meets and of course the occasional YouTube videos and voiceovers it's actually the mic that I'm using right now to record this voiceover so let me know down in the comments what you think about the audio quality coming from this mic I personally think this mic sounds amazing which makes it one of my favorite microphones to use so if you're looking for a mic that's under $200 I think you should definitely have this one on your list again I highly recommend it now the Masterpiece the brains that essentially Powers my entire setup still to this day is my 2019 16in MacBook Pro and trust me I heard all the noise and I've seen the impressive performance with Apple's new silicon chip Max but despite all of that I still decided to use my trusted 16in Intel MacBook Pro for pretty much everything that I need to do on a daily this MacBook even though not maxed out was decently speced out when I bought it so it's a aor Intel I9 processor with 16 gigs of RAM radon 5500 m 8 gig graphics card and I believe 1 TB of SSD space but that aside it is still more than a capable machine and from the perspective of someone who has already invested in this MacBook years ago I absolutely want to get the most out of it going forward to the point where I honestly don't see myself getting rid of this machine anytime soon essentially what I'm trying to say is if it ain't broke don't fix it and I know my workflow would probably benefit from saving an extra 3 or 4 minute on export time even though it won't transform the way how I work or how I produce but replacing something like this before I need can be massive waste of money accessories wise my MacBook has had this really sleek black camouflage debrand sking ever since I got this machine and I still get a lot of compliments on it and I also attach this pretty nifty portable hard drive sleeve that I use to store my SSD when I'm on the go so that I don't have to of course have it dangling off my laptop when I'm editing or transferring files and also to hold my MacBook when it's in clamshell mode I have this grade wooden Walnut dark stand that not only looks good but is also well built and protects my MacBook from scratches thanks of course to the wool lining in the center now a big pain point when it comes to using this MacBook in particular at my desk is of course the iOS and given the amount of peripherals that I will need to have connected that's just not enough and that's where having something like my Cal digit th3 plus comes in extremely handy it say 15 Port docking station that allows me to connect all my peripherals on my desk including my monitor which then means I just really need one cable to connect everything to my MacBook now to keep my desk looking as minimal as possible I actually have the TS3 plus mounted beneath my desk using a mounting bracket that I found on Amazon that that gives me a quick and easier access when I need to plug my hard drive or my memory card to the dock the other set of peripherals that I've had and used every single day for the last 3 years have been the Undisputed Logitech combo the MX Master 3 and the MX keys for mac and there's not much that I actually need to say on this they are super popular for a reason they just work and work really well my personal favorite is the MX Master 3 I just love the ergonomic feel and fit the sides scroll wheel is a game changer for me especially when I'm editing my videos or my photos I also really enjoy using the MX Keys as well but I'm now kind of thinking of getting into the world of mechanical keyboards and I know there are tons of options on the market so if any of you guys have any recommendations of your favorite mechanical keyboards and it also lets me know you're actually liking and enjoying content like this now beneath my keyboard and mouse is this grovemade wool desk pad that I chose in the smaller option because I really don't want to hide the warmth and beauty of my desk but at the same time still wanted some amount of protection that aside it's been doing what I need from it and I also paired it with with the dedicated grovemade mouse pad that kind of gives it a nice little contrast but still keeps everything looking pretty cohesive now recently I added this really impressive 4K webcam that I've been personally using at my desk setup this is the obsbot tiny 2 4K webcam which is a pretty well-made high-tech webcam that has extremely impressive AI tracking capabilities coupled with a pristine picture quality and trust me this thing packs some serious punch with the ability to shoot 4K video at 30 frames per second plus an even more impressive head and body tracking functionality I can automatically track my face I can control it via hand gestures and it'll respond to basic voice commands I can even tweet the picture in all kinds of ways add background blur adding different Beauty filters and just lots and lots more so yeah I've been pretty much impressed and pleased with the obsbot tiny 2 webcam I'll of course leave links to this and everything that I mentioned in this video down in the description below for you guys check out of course if you're interested so one of the really important aspects that typically is forgotten when curating and putting together the ideal work from home desk setup is of course the lighting now for me I have a few lighting solutions at my desk and in my general workspace that kind of helps to keep a nice Comfort level especially when it gets dark outside firstly at my desk I have the quintis glow plus monitor light bar that is mounted on top of my monitor and easily illuminates my desk without leaving any glare on my monitor itself it comes with this Wireless circular remote which is touch controlled so I'm able to adjust the brightness and color temperature as well as being able to turn it on or off with a Simple Touch the second light I have is the GOI rope light that I mounted on the wall just in the corner these are smart lights that helps to give me soft diffused light for when I need additional lights in my workspace they come with mounting clips which were pretty easy to install and they've been working really great for me so far and off to the other side of my desk I have a pretty simple floor lamp that again gives me additional light for those times or occasions that I need it so essentially having all these lights is undoubtedly one of the best decisions when it comes to you know you know maintaining a practical and cozy Vibe when working at my desk all right now in terms of the general Decor of this entire workspace I'd say it's still a work in progress I've added a few Greenery in this area of my desk to kind of keep with the Cozy vibe that I'm aiming for I've also added a poster and a few other small pieces that speaks somewhat more to my personality and interest as well as to kind of break up some of the T that I have going on in this space but again I do have more plans to really get this office SL student space to where I want it but the priority was right now to get my desk setup dialed in and right now I really like how it has actually turned out but I think you know having a desk setup is not just a collection of gadgets that you you know show off and flex well at least certainly not for me I think this desk setup just signifies my journey my Evolution as a tech Enthusiast and a content creator as my skills have certainly been improved over the years and you know to
