Only Knowing HTML & CSS Does Not Make You a Software Engineer

Software engineering is a lot different than identifying as a front-end developer. It comes to one variable-- the size of the problems being solved. Knowing only HTML and CSS does not allow you to solve the type of problems that will move the needle forward. Sure, you can still make a living, but it is still a level 1-2 skill out of five at scale.
