Making A Carbon Fiber Nose Boom for a Hang Glider

Part 1: Fail! I'm using a somewhat novel technique to making a hallow carbon fiber part; using a sacrificial 3D printed mandrel. 3D print the part (minus the surface thickness of the carbon), layup the carbon, cure it, dissolve the 3D printed mandrel. Should work pretty good in theory, but how about in practice?
