In this video I’m sharing the final four colours in my watercolour palette, all different shades of brown, and why I believe they deserve just as much attention as any green. From tree trunks and branches to soil, seed heads, feathers and shadowed foliage, browns bring warmth, structure and realism to natural subjects. I talk through how each brown behaves, what makes them distinct from one another, and how they help create depth and balance in a painting.
