I used acrylic paint to give my cardboard oven that brick oven look, and it really helps the whole thing feel more “real” for pretend play. I mixed a few colors to get a reddish-brown tone, but I also want to say this step is optional—don’t stress about perfection. If you do want the decorative finish, having a paint set on hand makes it much easier.
