Hello and welcome to Daily Bread ASMR—my name is Gaby, and today is going to be all about prayer, prayer, prayer, prayer. In this video I start by reading four written prayer-poems from a book called “Pilgrim Prayers,” a compilation of older prayers set to poetry. I normally don’t pray written prayers, but there are a few in here that are truly beautiful, and I wanted to let these words give us fresh ways to express ourselves to the Lord. As I whisper, I also add layered trigger sounds (the first layered sound begins at 5:29), because sometimes just listening to a whisper can get old. After the four prayers, I move into a prayer from my own heart. I thank God that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, and I praise Him that salvation isn’t something we can work for or earn—even if we tried. I pray for spiritual eyes to be opened, for hearts to become good soil for the seed of the Word, and for the Lord to reform and cleanse us, helping us defeat sin and walk by the Spirit. I also pray over the downcast, the mourning, the meek, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the persecuted, and anyone trying to fall asleep—asking the Lord for peaceful rest and for His will to be done through this time.
